As the world celebrates Pride Month, protecting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community at home and abroad remains as important a task as ever. The Equal Rights Coalition (ERC), an intergovernmental body of 42 member states, was launched in July 2016 with the goal of advancing the human rights of LGBTQ+ persons and promoting inclusive development in both member and non-member countries through engagement with civil society organisations and multilateral agencies.
As the current co-chairs of the Equal Rights Coalition, the British and Argentine Embassies, in partnership with the Council of Global Equality, invite you to join us for a discussion on the Equal Rights Coalition as well as their respective countries' national and international priorities for supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Speakers:
Dame Karen Pierce
British Ambassador to the United States
Jorge Argüello
Argentine Ambassador to the United States
Moderated by:
Mark Bromley
Director, Council of Global Equality
