To mark this year’s International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, both the All-Party Parliamentary Groups for Football Supporters and for Global LGBT+ Rights would like to invite you to a panel on LGBT+ representation, and combatting discrimination, in football. The panel will take place on Thursday 13 May from 1pm.
Moderated by Anwar Uddin, Fans for Diversity Campaign Manager at the Football Supporters’ Association, the panel will be a discussion with:
Damian Collins MP, former Chair of the DCMS Committee who led the inquiry into homophobia in sport
Chris Paouros, Co-Chair of Proud Lilywhites and Trustee of Kick It Out
Luke Tuffs, Team Manager of Ashford Town (Middlesex) Football Club
The panellists will discuss their work on the football pitch, in fan clubs and in Parliament, to combat discrimination on football grounds and promote the inclusion of LGBT+ players, officials and supporters, followed by a Q&A session. Please register here in advance to attend.
A recording of the event is available here.
